چکیده

The objective of the research was to understand diversity Rhizoctonia solani in potato crops Nariño. Tubers with sclerotia were collected from farms municipalities Pasto, Ipiales, Tuquerres and Ospina. In a laboratory, strains grouped categories, selecting 30 for morphological pathogenic studies. an PDA medium, daily mycelia growth rate (DMGR), pigmentation, texture, pattern (GP) characteristics determined. hyphae width nuclei number also evaluated. Solanum tuberosum L. Group Phureja seedlings used pathogenicity test. Initially, 494 obtained diverse cultural characteristics, 15 two each one research. Of strains, there significant differences DMGR according Tukey test (P=0.05), 96.6% had average 16.6 mm day-1. day-old colonies cream, beige, brown salmon colors. 95% isolates formed plush mycelium GP concentric simple rings, complex scattered stellate forms. Sclerotia formation began at 6 days (average), and, days, dispersed arrangement predominated, as well peripheral, brown, beige cream Three did not produce sclerotia. mean 9.7 μm, ranged between 7.2 - 8.2, without statistical differences. Twenty-four caused 100% plant infection. results suggest isolates, associated levels or anastomosis groups (AG), that will be studied future

Biological control of potato black scurf by rhizosphere associated bacteria

The present work was carried out to study the potential of plant rhizosphere associated bacteria for the biocontrol of potato black scurf disease caused by Rhizoctonia solani Khun AG-3. A total of twenty-eight bacteria isolated from diseased and healthy potato plants grown in the soil of Naran and Faisalabad, Pakistan were evaluated for their antagonistic potential. Nine bacterial strains were ...

Silver scurf is a surface blemish disease of potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) tubers, caused by Helminthosporium solani Durieu & Mont., which has gained increasing economic importance in recent years. The disease develops initially in the field but fully expands in the warehouse under storage conditions favourable to the spread of the pathogen. Control of the disease, once provided by the fungicid...

Genetic diversity of Rhizoctonia solani associated with potato tubers in France.

The soilborne fungus Rhizoctonia solani is a pathogen of many plants and causes severe damage in crops around the world. Strains of R. solani from the anastomosis group (AG) 3 attack potatoes, leading to great yield losses and to the downgrading of production. The study of the genetic diversity of the strains of R. solani in France allows the structure of the populations to be determined and ad...
